Life

I've been inspired by the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson lately. If don't know the story it is about a scientist called Dr. Jekyll who has a theory that the human soul is both good and evil. To prove his theory he created a drink that turns him into the evil Mr. Hyde, a thief and a murderer. The first time I heard it, it was only the title. I don't know the story until I saw it on TV then yesterday I heard it again at my English class. Later that day when I got home I wrote a poem. It tells us that each and everyone has a darker side.

Hilang

Sometimes when you lost someone that is close to your heart you tend to see them everywhere you go or always see something that'll remind you of him or her. This poem was inspired by Lady Gaga's "You and I" and "The Edge of Glory" the two songs she wrote about her late grandfather. Since my poem is about lost, I called it in the Indonesian form "Hilang". Melati

I've been inspired my Iwan Abdulrachman's work lately. His song, Melati Putih is so good. It inspires me to write a poem about melati (jasmine). A white flower that's been one of the signature beauty of Indonesia. And as you may know in A Very Gaga Thanksgiving, Gaga sang White Christmas with one extra verse, that's one of the main reason why I wrote 'Melati'. This is my poem Melati: garelonews.tumblr.com

Ini kisah tentang sekuntum bunga

Terputih dari yang putih

Yang daunnya hijau di musim kering

Kemilau disinar surya

Dan bila musim bunga tiba, melati bersemi
